Я использую FileZilla, но он действительно кажется, что Вы хотите использовать Rsync... без SSH, хотя Вы могли использовать lftp.

 If  target directory ends with a slash, the source base name
 is appended to target directory name. Source  and/or  target

Я сэкономлю Вас остальные. существует достаточно для новеллы.

Я просто узнал о sitecopy, и он делает точно, что я хочу. Я просто вошел

site myftpsite
    server ftp.myftpsite.com
    remote /
    local /home/aioobe/work/mysite/public
    username myuser
    password mypass

и затем я просто ввожу sitecopy --update myftpsite и это "синхронизирует" файлы на основе метки времени.
