Это - упрощенная версия формулы, которую Вы обеспечили в вопросе:

=IF(ISNA(VLOOKUP(C24,'Ability Base'!A$2:B$50,2,FALSE)),
    "Not Ability",
    VLOOKUP(C24,'Ability Base'!A$2:B$50,2,FALSE)
)

Возможно, можно сказать требование в словах, если вышеупомянутое не подходит.

(Протестированный в Excel 2003)
