Как я могу связаться с локальным файлом в ЛАТЕКСНОМ документе, набранном с PDFlatex на Mac OS X?

Вы попробовали \include{}команда? Как \include{chapters/filename} можно включать .tex файл. Но не пишите .tex в команде. В сети StackExchange существует страница, которая является только о Техасе.
